Your Guide

Preparing for
Your Deep Clean

A little preparation goes a long way. Follow this guide to ensure Renee can deliver the most thorough, efficient, and value-packed deep clean possible.

01

Declutter Before We Arrive

A deep clean is about cleaning — not tidying. To get the most value from your service, please clear benchtops, floors, and surfaces of everyday items like mail, toys, dishes, and personal belongings before we arrive. The less we have to move, the more time we spend actually cleaning.

  • Clear kitchen benchtops and stovetop area
  • Pick up items off bedroom and living room floors
  • Remove dishes from the sink and dishwasher
  • Clear bathroom vanity surfaces of products
02

Empty Cupboards & Drawers (If Requested)

If you've booked an inside-cupboard clean, please empty them before we arrive. We'll wipe every shelf, dry them, and you can restock once we're done. Same goes for the fridge and oven — remove all food and trays so we can get full access.

  • Empty kitchen cupboards if inside-cupboard clean is booked
  • Remove all food and shelves from the fridge
  • Take out oven racks — we'll soak and scrub them
  • Clear out under-sink cabinets if accessible cleaning is needed
03

Secure Pets

For the safety of your pets and Renee, please arrange for pets to be secured or off-site during the clean. Open doors, chemicals, and unfamiliar people can cause stress for animals — and we want everyone comfortable during the service.

  • Place pets in a secure room, backyard, or with a neighbour
  • Let us know in advance if pets will be on the premises
  • Remove pet bedding and toys from areas being cleaned
  • Inform us of any areas your pet has exclusive access to
04

Give Us Full Access

To complete a thorough deep clean, we need uninterrupted access to all rooms being cleaned. If you'll be home during the service, we recommend staying in one area so Renee can work efficiently through the property without disruption.

  • Ensure all rooms to be cleaned are unlocked and accessible
  • Provide access to a water source and power outlet
  • Let us know of any areas that are off-limits
  • Arrange access if you won't be home (key box, neighbour, etc.)
05

Point Out Priority Areas

Every home is different. If you have specific trouble spots — heavy grease in the oven, stubborn grout, soap scum on glass — let us know at the start of your clean. We'll prioritise those areas and allocate the right time and products.

  • Note any areas with heavy mould, grout buildup, or staining
  • Flag furniture or surfaces that need special care
  • Mention any surfaces that are sensitive to certain chemicals
  • Let us know if there are areas you'd prefer we skip
06

On the Day

A few final things to ensure your deep clean goes smoothly and you're thrilled with the result.

  • Ensure rubbish bins are empty or provide spare bags
  • Have a spare set of linen ready if bed changing is included
  • Allow 30–60 minutes extra in case additional areas need attention
  • Do a final walkthrough with us at the end — we welcome feedback

Common Questions

FAQ

Do I need to be home during the clean?

Not at all. Many clients provide a key or access code. Renee will confirm the access arrangement and lock-up instructions before the service.

How long does a deep clean take?

It depends on the size and condition of your home. A standard 3-bed home typically takes 4–6 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when confirming your booking.

Do you supply your own products and equipment?

Yes. We bring all professional-grade cleaning products and equipment. If you have specific product preferences or allergies, let us know in advance.

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Please let us know during the final walkthrough or within 24 hours. We'll return to address any missed areas at no extra charge.
